May 29th was Camping Sunday and a video was shown about a Camp in Montreal who have been very successful bringing children in with disabilities and ones who are new to this community or country . Mission and Service help to support camps like Camp Cosmos .
After the service we hosted a Canadian Food Grains Bank Fundraiser and served brunch. The food was delicious and we appreciated all who attended to support such a worthy cause.
Hope Springs Sunday School Cake Walk and Bake Sale was held today, May 5th at the IOOF Hall in Williamsburg. We had a grand day, lots of people out to scout out the yard sales, have breakfast and perhaps win or buy a dessert for their weekend treat.
The rest of these photos are of the bake sale and Cake Walk held today. They show the ladies who helped organize, bake and sell the goodies. It also shows the cupcakes sold individually this year, which was a huge success! We also had a Cake Walk where we sold tickets on 11 delicious desserts and the buyer of the tickets had to put their tickets in the bowl beside the dessert they wished to win.
At 10:15am we drew the lucky winners and they came and picked up their winnings. We had many people extremely happy about winning a yummy dessert.
