One of the missions of Winchester United is to support and foster the programs of charitable organizations, both through the United Church of Canada, and in our community. Here is a list of some of the organizations we support.
Mission and Service Fund
The work of The United Church of Canada across the country and around the world is funded by the Mission and Service (M&S) Fund. Members and supporters of the United Church know that it takes money to put their faith into action. In the M&S Fund they combine their gifts so that the work of the church can be done effectively. Rideau Hill Camp
Since 1948 Rideau Hill Camp has offered a fun-filled camping experience in a Christian-based environment. The purpose of Rideau Hill Camp is character enrichment through living, sharing, and developing within a Christian based environment. Dundas County Food Bank
This is a local non-profit organization dedicated to helping people of limited means maintain a proper diet by providing much needed foodstuffs through local distribution centres in Winchester and Morrisburg. Visit their Facebook page. |
Victoria's Quilts
Victoria's Quilts Canada (VQC) provides handmade quilts to people with cancer in Canada. By providing these quilts, VQC hopes to bring physical comfort to those dealing with cancer as well as spiritual comfort in knowing that they are not alone in their struggle. Read more... |
