We have a celebration jar at Hope Springs, and anyone can get up and explain their joy to the congregation and then make a donation into the Mission and Service jar.
Hope Springs has a vibrant group of ladies who knit, crotchet and create the loveliest shawls, lap blankets and baby blankets. They work all winter and produce many unique and interesting designs. On May 22nd, MaryEllen Garlough brought some of the shawls and lap blankets and Rev. Christine blessed them during our service. When a person is ill, having surgery, grieving, having a baby baptized etc, these shawls are sent out. Over 50 were given out last year alone.
After the service the congregation went outside the front of the church and had their pictures taken. This was requested by Chris Morgan at Presbytery.
Hope Springs is having a Sunday School fundraiser and on May 25th a group of ladies got together and made 18 pies for the event.
